About This Story

... learning disabilities strategy

Hertfordshire residents have the chance to share their views on our proposals to make things better for adults with learning disabilities in the county by taking part in our consultation.

The public consultation is open until Friday 9 November 2018 and seeks to find out the views of people with a learning disability, those who support people with learning disabilities and other interested parties’ on our draft learning disabilities strategy.

The easy read strategy sets out our ambitions and priorities for 2019-2024, and is broken down into three key areas; being healthy, living locally and involvement in local communities.

The health-focused proposals include helping more people to have a Learning Disability Annual Health Check, getting more people with learning disabilities on the GP Learning Disabilities register and making sure more people are offered health screenings and flu jabs.
